DTF prints are tough, but they're not invincible. Six habits keep your gear looking sharp for its whole working life.
Wait 24 hours before the first wash. The print needs that time to fully cure and bond to the fibres.
Turn garments inside out. Cold water, gentle cycle, similar colours.
Keep harsh detergents, bleach and stain removers away from the print.
Air dry only. Tumble dryers run hot, and heat is the one thing that shortens a print's life.
If you need to iron, turn the garment inside out first. Never run an iron directly over the print.
Avoid abrasive surfaces like brick walls, tool belts and velcro. Don't overstretch the print. Spot clean gently when you can.
Cared for like this, the print stays vibrant for the life of the garment.
Notice unusual wear? Reach out. We keep a test print of every job on file, so we can tell exactly what's going on.
Damage from tumble drying, hot washes, bleach, fabric softener or ironing over the print isn't a print fault, and it's avoidable. These six habits are the difference between a print that lasts months and one that outlives the garment.
